Juozas Pocevicius chosen as departmental Marshal for May graduation

Juozas Pocevicius has been chosen to represent the Department of Germanic and Slavic Languages and Literatures at the graduation ceremony for the College of the Liberal Arts on Saturday, May 5th. Juozas graduates with degrees in Russian and International Politics, as well as a Business/Liberal Arts minor. A recipient of the Ramadass Award, he is fluent in Lithuanian, Russian and German.  He studied abroad at St. Petersburg, Russia and was a scholar in the Strategic and Global Security Scholars’ Program. Juozas completed an internship with Penn State’s International Center for the Study of Terrorism, served as a language tutor with Penn State’s Learning Center, and volunteered with both Dance Marathon and the Education Abroad Office. His post-graduate plans include working in the business field before pursuing a master’s degree in business administration. Juozas will be escorted at graduation by Irina Mikaelian, lecturer in the Department of Germanic and Slavic Languages and Literatures.
