The Department of Germanic and Slavic Languages and Literatures offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in German and Russian. Other Slavic languages offered include Ukrainian and Polish.
In the German doctoral program, students may pursue a concentration in German Literature and Culture or in German Linguistics and Applied Linguistics. They may also pursue a dual Ph.D. degree in Language Science or in Visual Culture. An M.A. in German and an M.A. in Russian and Comparative Literature are also offered. Our award-winning faculty is committed to teaching and research in the areas of language, literature, and culture.
