Third and fourth year undergraduate students majoring in Russian are eligible for the Walter Edwin Thompson & Dr. Regina Bloch Thompson Scholarship. Amounts for qualifying junior and senior undergraduates was more than $1600 for the 2003-2004 academic year.

• Third or fourth year undergraduate student or a graduate student majoring in German or Russian languages.
• Academic average of at least 80 or B in German or Russian language courses.
• Financial need (students must complete a Financial Aid Form [9FAF]).

In order to apply, submit to Professor Barton Browning, Department of Germanic and Slavic Languages and Literatures, Penn State University, the following:

1. a transcript of college grades
2. a copy of Financial Need Statement
3. completed application form
   (available online in January)
